A Review of Polar Pasta at Coors Field

Updated: Jul 27

There has been record heat across the country and Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, is offering fans a fun way to cool off: Polar Pasta.

Aramark Sports + Entertainment introduced the concoction earlier this month. It consists of vanilla ice cream, chocolate donut holes and strawberry syrup made to look like spaghetti complete with a leaf of fresh mint to imitate basil.

Polar Pasta is available for $8.50 at The Cookie & Creamery concession stand near Section 119. We went during the sixth inning of a Tuesday night game and there was a significant line of about 30 people stretching down the concourse.

When we got to the front of the line after about a 30-minute wait, the cashier said that they technically ran out the dish, but that they were making it out of the ingredients they still had. The Polar Pasta we received seemed to have pretty much the exact same ingredients, maybe the ice cream wasn't in the promised pasta shape and there was a single leaf of mint instead of the multiple shreds in the photo. And it melts very quickly. But when does a food item ever look exactly like the photo?

The Polar Pasta was delicious. The ice cream was creamy and smooth and the donut holes were fluffy and rich. The strawberry syrup was just the right amount of sweet. The portion is a little smaller than expected — maybe because when a plate of spaghetti is promised, it's usually a heaping pile — but it is sharable for two people.

So if you're in Denver and want to spend a casual summer day at the ballpark, add a Polar Pasta to your gameday experience.
