Flau'jae's "Ready or Not Freestyle" Wins Kick The Concrete's 2025 Big Dance Tournament

Updated: Apr 10

You voted and the answer is clear: the best song by an athlete is Flau'jae's "Ready or Not Freestyle."

Flau’jae beat out Aaron Gordon’s “Pull Up” to win Kick The Concrete’s 2025 Big Dance Tournament! The song is part of the LSU star’s “It’s a Situation 4 Pack Mix Series Vol. 1” and samples the iconic song by the Fugees.

On her journey to the top, Flau’jae beat out Charles Leclerc’s “AUS23(1:1),” Darren Waller’s “Turf Toe,” Jesé’s “Yo Sabía” and, in perhaps her biggest battle of them all, upset Shaq’s “You Can’t Stop the Reign” in the Final Four.

Congratulations to THE Big Four!

To celebrate the men’s and women’s college basketball tournaments, Kick The Concrete went on a quest, in partnership with Aktiv8d, to find the best song by an athlete. We selected 32 songs by athlete-artists from around the worlds of boxing, baseball, basketball, football, soccer and Formula 1 and battled it out on Instagram.

It is clear that basketball has the hottest MCs because six tracks in the Elite Eight and all of the contenders in the Final Four were by hoopers.

Thank you to everyone for voting and supporting and having fun with us!
