It was amazing to see the impact Unrivaled Basketball made in its inaugural season! Rose BC claimed the first title after an intense battle between six teams of the best players in basketball. You know Kick The Concrete had to break down the strongest fashion statements from the season.
There was a wide range of styles from girly-girl to baggy streetwear. One player in particular showed a great sense of duality while keeping her glamorous brand in tact. Sometimes single outfits brought two worlds together as dresses with sneakers were a popular look in the Sephora Tunnel. And one player stood out for embracing an iconic hip-hop accessory.
Here is the Unrivaled Drip Check:
Satou Sabally
Satou Sabally impressed with a sleek white trench coat belted with a bow. She also looked good in a dark knit cropped sweater with a matching skirt. Perhaps her best fit was a printed dress with Wales Bonner x adidas Sambas. Her stylist, Olive Duran, delivered.
Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale is so cool. She wore a pink layered flannel from GV Gallery with distressed jeans. Another standout look is a Red Bull Racing jacket with a red bandana. And she showed some school pride in a Notre Dame crewneck topped off with a beanie from Supreme.
Angel Reese
Angel Reese continued to show that she is a rising style icon who can do it all. She looked like a socialite in a white fit with a Pucci scarf around her head and pearl Chanel belt around her waist. We loved her turquoise overcoat, matching shoes and a purple Louis Vuitton purse. She showed duality in a red leather jacket with matching baby Birkin, Louis Vuitton jeans and Timbs. But her best statement might be her all-white one where she was giving Polar Princess.
Stefanie Dolson
Stefanie Dolson brought out the Kangol hat not once, but twice! She dressed the classic hip-hop accessory up with a tulle skirt for a fun look. Then she went more casual with a layered outfit and matching sneakers. And can we have a moment for the GREAT Jordan Brand skirt she broke out??
Chelsea Gray
Chelsea Gray turned heads all season. One of her standout looks was a blue Honor The Gift jacket and pants set. She also impressed in a bright yellow Avirex jacket. And she was all business in a black look with a wring-dyed button-up from Fried Rice.
Aaliyah Edwards
Aaliyah Edwards showed versatility in her looks. She was super sporty in a fun adidas outfit. She looked like a ‘90s pop star in a leopard print top, black skirt and boots. And she ATE with a slinky purple dress and adidas x BAPE sneakers.
Tiffany Hayes
Tiffany Hayes kept us on our toes all season. She got creative with a look where she put ties over her jeans. A$AP Rocky would be proud. She also wore BBC Ice Cream jeans with a brown leather vest. And neon green Marni sneakers were cool with a matching sweater and newspaper shorts from her own brand, Seyah Renara. But we had to double take with a stellar look that featured a sharp denim vest. The tsunami pants, also from Seyah Renara, are mesmerizing.
Skylar Diggins-Smith
Skylar Diggins-Smith showed the kids how it’s done! She was all business in a structured brown suit by anOnlyChild. She wowed in a printed dress and cropped leather bolero jacket from Sami Miro Vintage. And she was fierce in a geometric printed trench and skirt set from GRAY with boots from Jennifer Le. We can thank her stylist, Manny Jay, for all of her LEWKS.
